Castel dell'Ovo, Naples

The Castel dell'Ovo (Egg Castle) is the oldest fortification in Naples, with a history dating back to the first century BC. It has a commanding view of the Bay of Naples and, fortunately for me, it was located just outside my hotel window. So I was able to take my time and slowly sketch this gigantic castle. I also managed to visit inside this fortification and was impressed with the views atop its parapet. The island that the castel was built on, now has plenty of interesting restaurants and a busy marina.

My instant favourite of your travel sketches so far. Very nice.
Maybe a small remark: the green trees in the front are a bit too vibrant in colour in relation to the other hues/values.
If they would have been in the colour of the roofs, it would have held the drawing a bit better together. Well done nonetheless.
