My short bicycle trips this year have given me a lot of great exercise and opportunities to compose sketches and paintings. This one is of a pavilion in the Jacques Cartier Park in downtown Gatineau, Quebec (Hull sector). I've always liked its modern origami-like structure and its location overlooking the Ottawa River and the bike path. (Its also in the same location of a sketch I posted on July 1, 2015 called the Bike House / La maison du vélo.) The pavilion doesn't seem to have any particular use and no one appears to use it; there aren't even any seats inside to sit and admire the scenery. Still, I like it and think it adds a nice touch to the parklands around it.

Le pavillon ne semble pas avoir un usage particulier et personne ne semble l'utiliser; il n'y a même pas de sièges à l'intérieur pour s'asseoir et admirer le paysage. Pourtant, je l'aime et pense que cela ajoute une belle touche au parc autour de lui.

Nice scene, but the pavillion is floating in the air. (if you don't mind my remarks) you should have made changes in the colour of the grass. Check a picture: grass next to a path will be different from the rest of the lawn, if only because it's cut in a different way. the grass is always a little higher (which means a shadow) or lower (then the grass is longer, and the colour will be a little different.
The same for the pavillion base: the grass will normally be darker around the platform, not lighter.
I loved the tiger lily drawing: nice how you achieved depth by making the background less defined.
