One of the simple pleasures I had at our resort was to walk around and admire all the palm trees and rich vegetation. Its something that I don't see back home (especially in February). I guess we were in the dry season as there were a lot of leaves on the ground in some areas. But there were also plenty of flowers in bloom (for example, hibiscus and a flowering tree that looked like a magnolia) and the fragrance in the air was strong. One afternoon, I sat on a bench and made this sketch of some trees near the lobby.

Un des plaisirs simples que j'avais à notre hôtel était de se promener et admirer tous les palmiers et la végétation riche. C'est quelque chose que je ne vois pas à la maison (surtout en février). Je crois que nous étions dans la saison sèche car il y avait beaucoup de feuilles sur le terrain dans certains endroits. Mais il y avait aussi beaucoup de fleurs (par exemple, hibiscus et un arbre en fleurs qui ressemblait à un magnolia) et le parfum dans l'air était forte. Un après-midi, je me suis assis sur un banc et j'ai fait cette esquisse de quelques arbres près de l'entrée.
