On our last evening in Cayo Coco, the full moon came out in all its glory. It was very bright and rose almost directly overhead as the night progressed. We decided to take a stroll on the beach in the late evening as we had done on previous occasions. Much to our surprise, there was no beach to walk on! The tide had risen as high as it could go. There was another younger couple walking in the surf, but being more cautious we decided against that idea.

Le dernier soir à Cayo Coco, la pleine lune est sorti dans toute sa splendeur. Elle était très brillante et se leva proche du zénith comme la nuit avançait. Nous avons décidé de faire une promenade sur la plage en fin de soirée comme nous l'avions fait précédemment. À notre grande surprise, il n'y avait pas de plage à marcher sur! La marée avait atteint le plus haut qu'elle pouvait aller. Il y avait un autre jeune couple marchant dans les vagues, mais étant plus prudent, nous avons décidé contre cette idée.

Beautiful night scene, they are always difficult to do. Love how the leaves draw lines across the moon. The intense colours fit nicely with the scene. So you're back home in the freezing cold again?
